Caravan of Love

Come, come, whoever you are.

Wanderer, worshiper, lover of leaving.

It doesn't matter. Ours is not a caravan of despair.

Come, even if you have broken your vows a thousand times.

Come, yet again, come, come.

~ Jelaluddin Rumi

Recently I heard the 'Little Bird' within me say this one phrase, "Caravan of Love." It arose in my heart when I began to inquire within about what the topic of my blog would be this month. I heard the phrase and then immediately thought of this Rumi poem. The Shakti, the energetic of this phrase quickened my curiosity and I have been carrying it in my heart like a koan. I love koans, as they arrive like hummingbirds and instantly call my attention. Koans do not invite thinking about them. We must BE with them, let them hang around the edges in awareness and see what arises, what they are pointing to. Every koan launches an inquiry, a mini-journey of sorts, resulting in some kind of revelation or realization. Each offers me a breadcrumb, or several, on my path.

So, what is it this time? I received guidance to set up another Zoom meeting (no charge) inviting you to join me in a satsang. This word is derived from Sanskrit, satsangha, and essentially means a gathering of "true" and good people who sit together to explore a spiritual topic. This upcoming satsang is to be called the Caravan of Love, and together we will explore 'Being with what is, as it is, whatever it is.'

For me, this is the 'Axis Mundi' of all of my spiritual practices, the core of my devotion and faith in Divine Arrangement, and the most challenging. As humans, we want our lives and the lives of our Beloveds to be the way we want them to be, and often that doesn't happen. We aren't in control, we aren't the doers. Being in resistance to what is, we suffer. We deprive ourselves of the Grace that comes when we can allow, be with what is without struggle. It's not easy at first. Sometimes, it feels brutal. We don't have to 'like' what is, and we can still learn to be with what it is, directly experience it without resistance and, in time, begin to see and feel the over-lighting Presence of the Divine Arrangement in service to Love, Consciousness, and deep recognition of Oneness.
