Eve’s Fire Goes to MARS
Eve’s Fire was screened at the AFI (American Film Institute) Silver Theater in Silver Spring, Maryland on February 3rd in a M.A.R.S (Mid-Atlantic Regional Showcase) Trio of Shorts. The film was shown to a diverse audience and they really took it in! Eve’s Fire looked fabulous and sounded ever so crisp in the state-of- the-art theater. Several people, the majority of them being men, asked Kirsten questions following the screening. Linda, Carol and Rebecca from the School for Women Healers were in attendance in spite of freezing rain earlier in the day and their support was very much appreciated! Beckie “womaned” the sales table strategically positioned in the pathway of people streaming to a reception in honor of the famous French New Wave actress, Jeanne Moreau. Jeanne, herself, stopped by our table, shook Kirsten’s hand and accepted a complimentary dangerousoldwomen.com bumper sticker that she plans to clandestinely put on a friend’s bumper back in France!
Eve’s Fire is a Prize-winning Film!
Eve’s Fire won Best Professional Film in the Religious/Inspirational category at the 6th Annual Boulder Community Media Awards ceremony on February 19th. Sheila Foster, Co-Director of the film, attended the ceremony held at the Dairy Center for the Arts and received a golden videotape award. Eve’s Fire will be broadcast on CATV Channel 54 in Boulder.
